The preserve represents one of North Carolina's most extensive ecosystems. Within North Carolina’s Outer Banks, it inhabits an incredible array of unique habitats, including forested dunes, interdune ponds, marshes, and wetlands.
Preserve is open from dusk to dawn daily.
