The Appalachian State University Mountaineers football program has grown exponentially over the past decade. The 21st century has seen Appalachian State dominate the Division 1-AA ranks, winning back-to-back-to-back national championships from 2005-2007. Games at Kidd Brewer stadium are always standing room only events and the center of attention within town.
