Basic Directions
- From Rifle
- Head north on Highway 13 and take a right at Highway 325.
- You'll head through the Rifle Gap State Recreation Area entrance - tell the attendant you're passing through to Cedar Mountain.
- Head into the park, to Sage Creek Campground.
- Go north through it and onto the BLM access road 8042 and continue until you reach Cedar Mountain.
Description
Drive rough dirt roads through oak brush and sage brush, through juniper/pinon pine woodland. These are high elevation roads, rising from 6,000 to 8,000 feet.
